Biography
McCall was born on 4 December 1896 at Vernon, British Columbia. He joined the Alberta Regiment in February 1916 and arrived in England that December. He was commissioned and transferred to the RFC in March 1917. Along with is observer, 2nd Lt F.C. Farrington, they scored several victories in an R.E.8. McCall was awarded the Military Cross, and two weeks later, he was awarded the Military Cross again. On 17 August 1918, with his tally at 35, McCall was on patrol with a wingman in SE5as, when they clashed with around 50 German aircraft. He made it home, but his wingman did not. McCall died on 2 January 1949.
