Brandenburg W12

Two-seat biplane, used for the defense of seaplane bases or reconnaissance. Typical for the W 12 design was the upward-sloping tail, with a rudder that protruded only below the fuselage. This gave the observer/gunner a free field of fire. The W 12 was a very maneuverable aircraft that could hold its own against single-seat fighters.
