The Fokker E.III helped Germany to
hold air superiority during late 1915
and early 1916. It's predecessor, the
E.I, was the first aircraft to have
a fixed machine gun synchronized to
fire through the propellor. The E.III
was used successfully by many of Germany's
early aces, such as Boelcke and Immelmann.
